Amazon direct sales finished in 15 minutes
In my last post, I shared my first journey to becoming an Amazon direct seller and seller. Since you need a basic account to become an Amazon seller, I explained the process of opening an account and choosing products smartly. If you haven't checked it out yet, please read the previous post first and continue posting!
Amazon Direct Sales Step 3
Select a product and place an order. When ordering, be careful about entering the shipping address; when entering your own shipping address, you must enter the administrative district units in English in order of small to large regions.
For example, to set a shipping address called Gicon Studio on the 6th floor of Gwanghwamun Post Office, Jongno-gu, Seoul, Korea, first search for an English street name in South Korea through the following site (Korea Regional Information Development Institute under the Ministry of Administration and Security).
👉 Enter the street name and address in English
Enter the shipping address and convert it to English.
After that, enter an English address according to the following rules to complete the shipping address entry. (Once saved, it's automatically saved, so there's no need to enter it again.)
아마존 직구

국문설명 (실제적용예시) |
Country/Region |
대한민국 (Republic of Korea) |
Full name |
영문이름 (GconStudio) |
Street address |
집 주소 (6 floor, 6, Jong-ro) |
City |
작은 도시 (Jongno-gu) |

큰 도시 (Seoul) |
Zip Code |
우편번호 (03187) |
Here for a minute!
I was curious about the results of entering the street name address into the translator, so I tried the Gicon Studio comparison translator.
The translation results of Google/Papago/Kakao, which I checked casually using the Gicon Studio comparison translator, are more accurate than I expected. The official street name provided by the Korea Regional Information Development Institute is not much different from the English address, and above all, it is impressive that the results were derived by reflecting the North American address format. In particular, the result values from Google Translate are so similar that you can directly copy the street name address and use it.
Amazon Direct Sales Step 4
The next step is check out, which is the payment step. Basically, I think check out is a term used in hotels, but it's also often used to mean calculating. If I search Check out in the translator, what kind of translation will I get? Please check it out. 😁
If you select a payment method (credit card, etc.) during the payment step, you must enter a “personal customs clearance code” called the Personal Customs Clearance Code. A personal customs number is essential not only for direct purchases abroad, but also for the process of becoming an Amazon seller in the future.
A personal customs number can be issued through the Korea Customs Service's electronic customs clearance system.
👉 Go to the Customs Service's unique personal customs code issuance
After entering your name, resident number, mobile phone number, etc., and verifying your identity through an official certificate, etc., the application page for issuing a unique personal customs code will appear. <등록>If you apply with your address and phone number, you will be issued a unique personal customs code as soon as you register (takes approximately 1 second). (It would have been quite troublesome if I had to wait a day or two or several hours to get it, but it was great to be able to save the process. hehe)
Then, select one of the default/priority shipping options during the shipping phase and the final purchase is complete!

It was a longer post than I thought because I tried to write it in writing, but I'm sure this post will be very helpful if you are considering direct sales from Amazon. It wasn't as difficult as I thought! Even if I don't know English, I was able to easily buy it on Amazon because it came with a Gicon Studio translator, even if it was my first time to buy it directly from overseas. Please try it out, and if anything doesn't work, please ask in the comment~ (Not an Amazon employee)
I was able to sell directly on Amazon through this post, so my next post will be selling on Amazon!
Please look forward to future posts about becoming an Amazon seller~
