How was attending the Letterworks SWITCH event?
Hallo This is Letterworks. In my last letter, I shared the news that we are participating in the SWITCH 2023 exhibition in Singapore. I thought it would be nice to tell you how we spent our time there, which was a full 3-day schedule, so the topic of today's letter is a review of the SWITCH exhibition in Singapore.
Since it was a pretty big event, various startup companies other than us participated. It was fun to set up a Letterworks booth and visit other places. I was surprised that there are so many different industries aiming to expand into Southeast Asia and overseas. I felt that the reason I should participate in such a large-scale event like SWITCH is not only to spread the word about Letterworks, but also to broaden my perspective.
SWITCH is an event where many startups planning to expand overseas, especially in Southeast Asia, participate. In addition to Twig Farm (Letter Works), there were 4 other startups that participated in Korea this time. There were four locations: Mobidoo, Winderbridge, Minds & Company, and VA Corporation. All of them went through a series of selection processes and received support from the Content Agency and the Ministry of Mid-Term Venture Enterprises to participate. When it came to participating in this exhibition, our main focus was on localizing the increasingly important content and how Letterworks can help in the process. Therefore, at our booth, we had time to demonstrate the upgraded TB/TM function, as well as a demonstration of highly accurate technology that can help add subtitles to videos. Of course, I also introduced places that use the Letterworks service.
Looking at the various startups that participated in the SWITCH exhibition, I was able to think again about the direction Letterworks is moving forward. First, we plan to accelerate business expansion to Southeast Asia, starting with the establishment of a Singapore corporation. Recently, they have obtained 4 ISO certifications related to information protection at the same time, and are also working to create a more reliable environment for entrusting content.
Since the area of localization is not limited to the domestic market, we plan to try to supply services to more countries, starting with the establishment of a Singapore corporation. Since it is a service that can be helpful to all companies aiming to expand overseas, such as Korea, China, and Japan, I would like to use my efforts to promote Letterworks. I think one part of this effort is actively participating in events and exhibitions to promote Letterworks. Letterworks will also participate in the 2023 Software Competition, which will be held for 3 days from 29th to December 1st of this month. This time, the event will be held at COEX in Korea, not overseas. Many people visited us, and I think it would be great to take a look at our upgraded technology. I hope you enjoyed reading today's letter, and I'll be back with the next one.
